Secure data and move to zero trust

Securing data at rest (DAR) in a zero trust architecture is important to preventing cyberattacks and keeping information safe. Use Citadel C Series self-encrypting drives (SEDs) to prevent unauthorized access to sensitive data in laptops, desktops, and other endpoint devices.

Key features include

  • Hide data from cyber threat: unreadable storage partition
    protected by non-recoverable key
  • Know who accessed data: secure data access logs capture all
    insider threat activity
  • Retire or repurpose SSDs safely: verified device erasure ensures
every data block has truly been wiped

Citadel C Series Features

Citadel C-SEL

  • Pre-Boot Authentication (PBA): Users must authenticate to the Citadel C Series SSD before the computer will boot up. The SSD is not recognized or readable otherwise.
  • Adversaries cannot steal what they cannot see: Unreadable storage partition protected by non-recoverable key
  • Additional authentication for file access: Zero-day ransomware, malware, and software service bypass prevention
  • FIPS 140-2 L2 + CSfC + Common Criteria (CC) versions available: Listed on the NSA CSfC Component List for hardware full drive encryption. Listed NIAP-compliant (VID #11297). NIST Certificate #4294.
  • Address critical requirements for data governance and privacy programs: CMMC, HIPAA, GDPR, GLBA, PCI-DSS, and CCPA

Citadel C-ADV

  • Verified device erasure: Ensures every block has truly been wiped
  • Immutable insider detection: Secure data access logs capture all insider threat activity
  • Automated threat response: Makes data invisible if Cigent Data Defense is disabled
  • Address critical requirements for data governance and privacy programs: CMMC, HIPAA, GDPR, GLBA, PCI-DSS, and CCPA

Pre-Boot Authentication

Pre-boot authentication requires that a computer user provide trusted credentials to the drive before the laptop or desktop computer can detect and start up. This prevents unauthorized users from gaining access to the encrypted drive and its sensitive data.

Key Features

  • Simple, easy-to-use protection from ransomware, physical, and other cyber attacks
  • Worry-free deployment: Cigent software is tested and validated for use with DIGISTOR SSDs
  • Address critical requirements for data governance and privacy programs such as CMMC, HIPAA, GDPR, GLBA, DSS, compliance requirements
  • Multi-factor authentication (MFA) requires more than one authentication for access. Multiple authentication methods include CAC/PIV, facial recognition, fingerprint, PIN, authenticator apps, and Duo
  • Windows environment features
  • FIPS 140-2 L2 NIST certificate #4294
