Citadel C Series SSDs with Pre-Boot Authentication (PBA)

Enhance data security and move to zero trust

Securing CUI and other sensitive data in laptops, desktops, and other endpoints has never been more important. Pair that with the mandate to adopt zero trust architectures and you need a building block at the storage level such as DIGISTOR Citadel C Series SSDs. Citadel C Series SSDs, powered by Cigent®, augment DIGISTOR TCG Opal and FIPS 140-2 L2 self-encrypting SSDs with additional cybersecurity features.

Features of the C Series include pre-boot authentication, multi-factor authentication (MFA), zero-trust file access, unreadable storage partitions protected by non-recoverable keys, automated threat response that renders data invisible if Cigent Data Defense is disabled, and secure access logs that capture all insider threat activity.

Citadel C Series Features

Pre-Boot Authentication

Pre-boot authentication requires that a computer user provide trusted credentials to the drive before the laptop or desktop computer can detect and start up. This prevents unauthorized users from gaining access to the encrypted drive and its sensitive data.

Key Features

  • Simple, easy-to-use protection from ransomware, physical, and other cyber attacks
  • Worry-free deployment: Cigent software is tested and validated for use with DIGISTOR SSDs
  • Address critical requirements for data governance and privacy programs such as CMMC, HIPAA, GDPR, GLBA, DSS, compliance requirements
  • Multi-factor authentication (MFA) requires more than one authentication for access. Multiple authentication methods include CAC/PIV, facial recognition, fingerprint, PIN, authenticator apps, and Duo
  • Windows environment features
  • FIPS 140-2 L2 NIST certificate #4294
