DIGISTOR Creates a New Industry Standard for Secure Removable Drives

Campbell, CA — February 14, 2018 — DIGISTOR, the leader in secure data and storage solutions, is pleased to announce the release of VaultDisk®, a removable solid state SATA drive compatible with the 2.5” industry standard in a smaller, sleeker form factor. This removable, bootable storage solution was designed specifically for the federal space and can be utilized in a variety of Dell workstations and laptop systems. For administrators required to switch in and out of multiple networks and security clearance levels, VaultDisk® provides a game changing solution.
System administrators in the federal space have long had difficulties with immobile hard drives. How does one insure the security of a boot drive when entering and exiting networks with varying levels of security clearance? How can one move between operating systems seamlessly? How can one easily remove a drive to clone it or store it when the computer must leave the premises? Traditionally, in all these cases, the administrator had to remove the drive manually. This meant carrying around tiny screwdrivers and losing even more minuscule screws. Many would try to shave minutes off this laborious process by leaving screws out of the laptop so they could take it apart faster. This was not only a liability to the integrity of the drive, but also exposed the computer’s internal components to dust and debris.
